For a product that is leading the crypto exchange space, there are some glaring weaknesses in the current Coinbase iOS design.

I started investing in Bitcoin back in September of 2020. I am fascinated with decentralized currency. With more and more institutional investments coming into the crypto market this year it’s only going to continue to grow market share.

At first, I was not sure what platform to use for purchasing Bitcoin and other currencies. Initially, I used the Gemini app to purchase Bitcoin. I knew that I wanted to dabble in other currencies and tokens aside from the behemoth…

Having a process is critical to shipping high-quality software, fast. What is your team’s process?

Defining a process for your team will never be finished, you’re always tweaking it or shifting things around to see how/what works for your team. It never ends, it just continues to evolve. Let’s face it, as design teams scale there can be growing pains.

Every company needs a strong way of working together, creating a defined roadmap…

Presenting can be difficult and downright terrifying. Trust me when I tell you that I personally struggled with every presentation that I have ever done. If you hear someone say, “I don't get nervous before presenting.” More than likely they are not being truthful.

Presentation skills are an extremely important part of being a good designer. …

Let's define culture

The most basic definition: Team culture is made up of the values, beliefs, attitudes, expectations, and behaviors shared by a team.

It’s how people work together towards a common vision and how they treat each other, not just on the team but in the company as a whole. These attributes could be positive or negative depending on how they’re received internally or externally.

Culture is a difficult concept to grasp because it’s generally unspoken and unwritten. It’s about dynamics between people which takes practice for some and none for others.

Different teams within a company can manifest their own culture…

As Designers, our work is constantly subject to critique and scrutiny, but how vulnerable are you really being with your work?

Those of you that know me, know that I'm always trying to improve my skills. I pride myself and my work on the old saying, practice makes perfect.

As designers, we have strengths and weaknesses. Everyone does. Knowing where your strengths and weaknesses are is key.

I would say my strengths lay in conceptual design, rapid prototyping, presenting my ideas, and iterating quickly on designs. I can take a story [or an epic] with very little requirements from just…

Uber Grinch

T’was the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse…[except the mouse on my computer trying to delete my Uber account].

For me, and many of you, Christmas means a lot of travel, which also means a lot of Ubering.

As you can imagine, the last couple of weeks were madness. Arguing politics with family, eating too many cookies, drinking too many glasses of eggnog, and the only working out I was doing was running…….. to the kitchen to eat more HoneyBaked ham.

The holidays are about giving, being merry, binging on 24 hours of A Christmas Story, and eating all the junk you can fit into your belly.

During the busy holiday season, bad in-app experiences really upset me.

As…

The Cleveland Browns are the absolute worst team in football. They have not made the playoffs since 2002 and until last week, they had not won a game in over 635 days. They have had 13 losing seasons since 1997, and have finished dead last in their division 11 times in the past 16 seasons. They have started 20 [ Yes, twenty] different quarterbacks since 1997 and nearly half that in head coaches have come and gone since 97'.

The Browns have been the laughing stock of the league for as long as I can remember [I just turned 30…

We’re living in a very unique time in history, the way we commute is ever changing as we have seen in the last 5 years with the rise in Uber and Lyft. Whether you like it or not, the E-Scooter is at the forefront of revolutionizing how people commute, especially in major metropolitan cities.

Even with Uber and Lyft changing the way we commute, the sharp minds behind the E-Scooter idea still saw a gap, a problem in how we commute around town… a problem that was going unsolved.

The people at Bird and Lime started asking questions like.

  • “Why…

Preface: Im writing this is because I want to help Xfinity create a refined experience, tranquil consistency, and gracious flow for their customers.

After a long, Labor day weekend in the mountains, I was exhausted when I got home. After a much needed nap, I scratched my eyes and sat down at my computer to do some catching up on Vice news. I have been using the Xfinity Stream web app for a little over a month now, and I have run into some usability issues that needed some serious attention.

In this article Im going to do a UX…
